Manuscript execution rules for publication
The editorial board accept for publication articles containing the results of original theoretical
and experimental scientific research, not previously published or submitted to other journals. The
articles should correspond to the subject area of the journal main sections.
When submitting an article for publication in journal, the authors have to:

Conclude a license
agreement with the Tver State Technical University on granting the right to use the
scientific work.

Fill in the
author's certificate (for employees of TvSTU) or provide an expert's report on the
article (for employees of other organizations).
Materials to be sent to the editorial board to the e-mail address vestnik_tstu_tekh@mail.ru are the following:

a file referred to as author's full name.docx (the surname of the first author is
indicated) which contains an article text

a copy of the expert's report referred to as author's full name expert's report.pdf and
-
a copy of the license agreement signed on author’s end referred to as author's full name
contract.pdf
For employees of TvSTU:
-
a file referred to as author's full name.docx (the surname of the first author is
indicated)
with the article text is sent to the e-mail address vestnik_tstu_tekh@mail.ru
-
an author's certificate and a license agreement are sent to the General Administration
Department (central housing at 22 Nab. Af. Nikitina, Tver).
The submitted article manuscripts is reviewed. In case of a negative review, it is sent to the
author. There is no fee for publishing an article.
Manuscript text design
-
The article text must be typed in Microsoft Word
-
Page parameters: margins of 25 mm on each side; text font Times New Roman, size 12 for all the
text; single line spacing; paragraph indentation of 1.25 is set for all the text. There is no
indent for centered headings and subheadings, tables and figures.

Units of physical quantities must be given in the International System of Units (SI).

All the designations used by author, except for the generally accepted constants such as e, π,
etc., and all the abbreviations must be expanded when they are first written in the text.

To make formulas, use the built-in formula editor.
Formulas embedded as images are not allowed!

All the tables and figures must be numbered and entitled; they must be referred to in the
article text. Font sizes in figures and diagrams should not be much different from the font size
of the main text.

The illustrative material (photographs, diagrams, etc.) must be saved in *.tif, *.jpg with
resolution of at least 300 dpi (preferably 600 dpi).

Tables should be drawn up in a concise way; single-type tables are built identically. Numerical
data should be rounded according to the experimental accuracy. Information in tables and figures
should not be repeated. Tables presented as images or in PDF format are not accepted.

REFERENCES
References are obligatory and are to contain all the works cited and
mentioned in the article scientific text. The in-text reference number is enclosed in square
brackets; in the reference list it is numbered with Arabic figures, end with a period and
without brackets. The list is drawn up in accordance with the requirements to the article list
of references presented below.
AUTHOR CREDENTIALS
SURNAME - First name - Patronymic name (in full) – academic degree,
academic title, position, department, name of the organization (in full and brief officially
established form, in the nominative case) in which the author works (studies), the postal
address of the organization.
Information about the authors in English is given in full, without abbreviations. Officially
established English-language names of organizations and their divisions are given. Elements that
characterize the legal form of an institution (organization)
in the names of universities are omitted.
Requirements to the Reference List
References are formed in Russian and in Roman script
Publications in Russian and English indexed in the international citation and analytical
databases
Web of Science / Scopus, RSCI, etc. are recommended to use for references.
References to periodicals should reflect the current state-of-art in the problem under
scientific
consideration. References to old sources must be justified.
It is not recommended to practice on self-citation (references to the author's own
publications).
Reviewing
The procedure of reviewing manuscripts submitted to the editorial office of the
journal Vestnik of Tver State Technical University. Series «Technical Science» is as
follows:

The primary review is carried out by members of the editorial board of the journal Vestnik of
Tver State Technical University. Series «Technical Science». During the primary review, the
editorial board examines enclosed documents and reviews a scientific article for compliance with
the journal profile and the article submission guidelines established by the journal editorial
board, which can be found on the journal's website.

If the manuscript of a scientific article complies with the journal profile, the established
guidelines and requirements, it is accepted by the editorial board and sent for a review, in
cases of non-compliance the article is rejected without further reviewing.

All manuscripts of the articles submitted to the journal editorial board undergo obligatory
single / double blind peer review (the manuscript authors do not know the reviewers and receive
a letter of comments signed by the editor-in-chief).

Forms of manuscript reviewing:
- review by a specialist in the field of the submitted article professional expertise;
- third-party peer review (the author attaches to the manuscript 2 reviews of Doctors of Science
corresponding to the profile of a paper; the reviews are to be written by reviewers unrelated to
the place of work (study) of the article author(s), executed and certified in the prescribed
manner; whereas the editorial board reserves the right to conduct an additional review).

The reviewer is selected from among the members of the editorial board or ad hoc reviewers being
the leading experts in the research field of a paper. The journal editor-in-chief or his
deputies take a decision on the choice of a particular reviewer for the manuscript examination.

Based on the manuscript examination results, a reviewer makes the following recommendations (the reviewer's decision is grounded):
- To accept the manuscript for publication.
- To return the manuscript to the author to eliminate the insufficiencies noted.
- To submit the manuscript to additional reviewing by another specialist;
- To recognize the materials as unsuitable for publication.

After the chief editorial board has taken a decision on the manuscript admission to publication, the author is informed about it.

The original reviews are kept in the journal editorial office for 5 years.
