Abstract

A new approach to analysing the fracture of weak rocks with plastic properties is proposed. A review of the main theories of rock fracture is presented. Typical methods of crushing and classification of rocks are analysed. The necessity of designing new equipment for processing of weak rocks with plastic properties is substantiated. It is noted that this equipment provides simultaneous crushing and classification of weak rocks. The design of the shredder-classifier is proposed, the principle of its operation is described, as well as the basics of engineering calculations of its parameters.
