Abstract

It is noted in the article that the reduction of Bachelor's degree to 4 years (as compared to the engineering degree of 5...5.5 years), forced reduction in the volume of industrial practice and practical rejection of the diploma project (as it is in engineering training) had a negative impact on the quality of training and adaptive capabilities of graduates. In this regard, it is proposed to make the training tied to certain processes and structures of machine-building industries by means of a specific way of realising interdisciplinary links and introducing a set of additional knowledge and skills. It is recommended to create a link to production activity on the basis of knowledge about organisational and technological systems in mechanical engineering and the organisational structure of the enterprise; the structure of the product life cycle; production (functional) processes of the organisation's activity. It is indicated that such an approach will help the student to find his/her place in the structure of production processes of the enterprise, to understand the information links in the machine-building enterprise, as well as prepare him/her for the use of automated design and control systems.
