Abstract

One of the most important tasks of paramount importance for the design of a peat mining enterprise is the construction of an information model of a peat massif. In the article, the authors show the result of modeling a peat deposit in the Micromine mountain geographic information environment (GIS) using system approaches to processing geological information from various peat schools. As a result of modeling on the informational data of detailed exploration, three versions of the geological model of the «Olchevskoe» peat deposit were obtained. In conclusion, the authors cite the following conclusions: first, a wide range of software packages has been developed on the software market for mining enterprises; secondly, the system principles embedded in the software are the same, but for the purposes of a particular mining enterprise, mining and geological conditions and the type of deposit, it takes a lot of time to adapt mining geographic information systems; thirdly, depending on the underlying theoretical and systemic principles in the informational description of a peat deposit, the created 3d models will differ significantly.
